Catrike introduces the 2025 Max eCat with the Bosch ActiveLine Plus electric assist motor, which delivers active and sporty acceleration even at low cadences, and offers powerful assistance as soon as you step on the pedals. In addition, the system’s multi-sensor technology and fast information processing ensure optimum interaction between you and your eCAT. The 2025 Max eCat features the customizable BES3 Smart System, providing you with extra power, extra features, and custom programming via the eBike Flow app, as well as giving you maximum comfort and riding enjoyment. The new handlebar-mounted Bosch Purion 200 Color Display/Controller provides ride data such as speed, cadence, miles and range, and lets you control the assist level, the SUPERNOVA integrated lights, and also access the Hill Hold feature and the smart Walk Assist. Use the eBike Flow phone app to customize your assist settings and also access Navigation, the eBike Lock, and Theft Protection (eBike Alarm requires the optional Connect Module to be installed, and Flow+ subscription). The super-quiet MAX eCAT is made with Bosch components and meets or exceeds all current safety standards and is UL2849 certified.
The Bosch ActiveLine Plus motor features four customizable levels of power assistance: Eco, Tour, Sport, and Turbo which now reaches an impressive 340% assist. Each level also features a maximum drive torque to ensure smooth acceleration. The Bosch Active Line Plus delivers 50 Nm of torque at 250 watts continuous output for assistance up to 20 mph at a cadence of 105. Built for both derailleur based drivetrains and hub gear systems, the ActiveLine Plus motor features gear shift detection when coupled to derailleur drivetrains to provide seamless power through the full range of gears.
The Catrike MAX is designed with a higher and wider 16 inch seat and incorporates a larger diameter Cross-Member and wide sturdy rims to accommodate 425 lbs of rider weight and gear. The MAX also sports a wider 34” track for a comfortable, roomier cockpit. In addition, it is equipped with Schwalbe Big Apple tires, 1x11 SRAM drivetrain, and the new Catrike Assist Bars that help support the rider when getting in and out of the seat. It is the most robust model in the Catrike line and has all the features you have come to expect on a Catrike: Avid disc brakes, signature hand rests, Catrike Peace Boom, adjustable seat angle, locking brake levers and Ackerman Steering.
