Bike and Trike Rentals

Are you visiting Stevens Point for work or play, but you don't have a way to haul your bike with you, yet you want to go for a bike ride? Do you have friends or family coming from out of town and you want to show them around the local bike trails? Are you interested in a new bike or trike, but you're not quite ready to make the leap? Then consider renting! 

The Hostel Shoppe offers a great selection of rental bikes and trikes in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Choose from a variety of rental time frames ranging from a half-day to week long rentals. We have quality road bikes, hybrid bikes, fat bikes and electric-assist bikes from Specialized and Trek to rent. Plus, we also rent electric-assist recumbent trikes from Catrike and ICE Trikes. No matter what type of terrain you want to ride, we have a bike or trike for you!

Plus, if you do decide to purchase a new bike or trike within 30 days of renting, we will apply up to a one day rental fee back towards the purchase of the bike or trike!

Explore Stevens Point

The Green Circle is a 27-mile scenic hiking and biking trail that loops through the Stevens Point area and connects with over 45 miles of additional trails, as well as through Schmeeckle Reserve, UW-Stevens Point's campus natural area. It winds through forests and parks, over wetlands, and along rivers, and many connecting sectors are on city streets. The trail surface features pavement, gravel, wood chips and boardwalks. Be sure to ride carefully, follow the rules of the road and be respectful of other trail users and the environment.

Where can I rent bikes or recumbent trikes in Stevens Point, Wisconsin?

You can rent a variety of bikes or trikes at the Hostel Shoppe in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, including hybrid bikes, road bikes, fat bikes, e-bikes, and recumbent e-trikes.

How old do you have to be to rent a bike?

You must be 18 or older with a valid ID to rent a bike or trike. All bikes and trikes are adult sized. Parents can rent non-electrified bikes for minors, but we do not provide e-bike or e-trike rentals for riders under 18 years of age.

Do I need to bring a bike helmet?

Hostel Shoppe can provide a variety of sizes of rental bike helmets to get you the appropriate fit for your ride. A helmet is required for the rental. Of course, you can always bring your own personal helmet if you prefer.
