You love your bike or trike and we want to make sure it rides for you like the first day you bought it! Hostel Shoppe's experienced mechanics in our service department are ready to handle all of your bicycle repair and service needs, whether it's a simple adjustment, accessory install or a complete mechanical overhaul. We service all bicycle brands and all types of bikes, including recumbent bikes and trikes, tandems, mountain bikes, road bikes, fat bikes, kid's bikes, e-bikes, plus more!

Hostel Shoppe's Premier Recumbent Service Package

We are the industry leader in recumbent service with the knowledge, tools and parts to get your recumbent rolling like new! This service package is recommended annually.

  • Package includes three hours of service work with the following adjustments, valued at over $350:
  • Full drivetrain removal, cleaning and reinstallation
  • Align wheels
  • True all wheels
  • Adjust all brakes and shifting components
  • E-bike software update
  • Frame cleaning
  • Safety check
  • Test ride completed
  • Parts, installation and additional hours billed at the hourly rate not included in service package.

Choose Your Bicycle Service Package

    The Essential: $99

    Think of this as your bike's 6-month dental check-up. We'll adjust your brakes and gears, plus make sure your wheels are ok! Recommended two to three times per year or before any race or ride events.

    Service Includes:

    • Safety check of all components
    • Brakes & shifting adjusted
    • Chain inspected and lubed (if necessary)
    • Wipe down frame, fork and wheels
    • Wheels spot-trued on the bike
    • Tires checked and inflated to manufacturer's specifications
    • Test ride completed
    • Parts and installation extra

    The Annual: $149

    Preventative care is the best performance policy. We'll strip, clean and lube all the gears, polish the frame, setup your brakes, and true and tension the wheels. This is the best value for bikes that need yearly maintenance or haven't been ridden in a while.

    Package includes all services in the Essential PLUS:

    • All bolts checked for proper tightness
    • Derailleur hanger alignment
    • Cables lubed
    • Wheels trued off the bike
    • Hubs and headset adjusted
    • Removal and cleaning of drivetrain (cranks, chain, cassette, & derailleurs) 
    • Clean frame, fork and wheels
    • Software updates for Bosch, Shimano, and any manufacturer's system on Giant, Salsa, Specialized or Trek bicycles.
    • Test ride completed
    • Parts and installation extra

    The New Ride: $499

    Get that new bike feeling. New tires and grips are recommended, but not included. This is the service plan you want for triathlon bikes and other bikes that see s lot of rain, dirt or you put on 2500+ miles a year.

    Package includes all services in the Annual PLUS:

    • Headset, hubs & bottom bracket overhauled (if necessary)
    • Precision adjustments to all components
    • New mechanical brake and shift cables & housing
    • Hydraulic brake flush
    • Tubeless tire sealant refresh
    • Test ride completed
    • Includes FREE installation of newly purchased parts from Hostel Shoppe

Suspension Fork and Shock Services

Fork lower leg service (annual service): An oil change and cleaning for your suspension fork. $75 (parts extra) - Takes 1-5 days.

Fork or shock complete service (bi-annual service): A complete overhaul to make your suspension fork like new.
$210 (parts included) - Takes 1-5 days.

Rear shock air sleeve service: An oil change and cleaning for your rear shock. $65 (parts extra) - Takes 1-5 days.

E-Bike Service

While Hostel Shoppe strives to have the training, tools and resources to tackle any cycling related service, the wide variety of e-bike products on the market make it impossible for us to be able to service every make and model. Insurance limitations prevent us from working on the electronics of some direct to consumer e-bikes, or keeping certain batteries on site. If you have an e-bike needing service, please call the store at 800-233-4340 with the make and model of your ride and we will let you know if it is one we are authorized to work on. All e-bike software issues will result in a non-refundable $80 diagnostic labor fee. Additional labor rates may apply for non-motor related services for your e-bike or e-trike.

Same Day Service

We know your time is valuable and we know you don't want to be away from your bike or trike any longer than necessary. Booking your Same Day Service Package allows us to accommodate customers that may be coming from out of town and don't want to make a return visit to pick your bike or trike back up, for our racing and competitive riders that require immediate service before their next big event, or for our customers that rely on their trusty steeds for their primary transportation.  Additional fees may apply for Same Day Service appointments.

Because the Same Day Service Package requires the full focus of at least one mechanic for the duration of the repair and is done as a priority over other repairs, we are only able to commit to one Same Day Service Package per day. These appointments must be booked in advance.
