Pedal Point Rally

Pedal Point Retro Rally Header

Friday & Saturday, July 19th & July 20th, 2024

Join us for our 5th Annual Pedal Point Rally! Not only are we celebrating the rally, we will be celebrating Hostel Shoppe's 50th Anniversary, and it is also officially our 30th Rally, counting 25 Midwest Recumbent Rallies prior to this.  We will have some scenic marked bicycle rides with rest stops and sag service, local tours featuring fun activities, a Friday night band and catered dinner, bike and trike demos, a Saturday taco food truck, anniversary cake, kids games, and lots of fun and camaraderie! We will also be doing the Golden Envelope Contest, where you can purchase a 1-in-50 chance to win an ICE trike for $100 or a 1-in-50 chance to win a Hase Trigo Tandem!  Winner's will be announced during the rally on Saturday afternoon.  Once again, this year's event and the Golden Envelope Contest will be a fundraiser for the Spokes Fighting Strokes organization, whose mission is to reach every stroke survivor and show them that recovery is possible.  Don't miss this fun event for the whole family!

Bike and recumbent trike riders head out on a bike ride at the 2023 Pedal Point Rally.

Spokes Fighting Strokes was founded by Dan Zimmerman, who suffered a stroke in 2005 as result of Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT). Though recovery was difficult and took a long time, he is now able to do many things that were previously considered unattainable. His mission is to reach every stroke survivor and show them that recovery is possible! Through his Spokes Adaptive Cycling clinics, he helps stroke survivors gain independence, ability, hope, and freedom. The goal is to increase awareness about stroke and HHT (Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia), the cause of his stroke, and to make adaptive cycling available to the stroke community.  While he and his organization focus on overcoming the hurdles of suffering a stroke, his empowering message and the products he highlights can help a wide range of people such as those with traumatic brain injuries, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, balance issues, limb loss or paralysis, or those on the Autism spectrum.

All proceeds from the ride and registration will go to support their mission of doing cross country tours with a fleet of demo trikes and adaptive equipment allowing people to demo the equipment, answer questions and help them regain their freedom.
