Recumbent Trike Shipping

Hostel Shoppe is proud to be one of a few exclusive retailers that is approved to ship many recumbent bike and trike brands throughout the U.S.A.!  Shop on-line in the comfort of your home and have your fully assembled, decked-out recumbent delivered right to you!

First Steps: After placing your order our sales team will contact you via the e-mail address and phone number provided in your order. This contact is important and we cannot ship your recumbent until these details are finalized. The conversation will include:

  • Confirming rider measurements such as X-Seam, height, weight and seated shoulder height (if necessary).
  • Detailed instructions for how to accurately get these measurements can be found on our YouTube Channel Recumbent Sizing Video.
  • Talk about accessories and add-ons to make your ride more fun!
  • Confirm any accessories you want installed or modifications you need on your new ride (installation fees may apply). We are eager to help you customize your recumbent to meet all of your wants and needs.
  • For questions, please call us at 800-233-4340 or email our Sales Staff at SalesStaff@hostelshoppe.com.

Hostel Shoppe wants you to be completely satisfied with your new ride. We've specialized in shipping trikes since the 1990's and we have refined how we install parts and pack the trikes, so that you can take delivery in confidence.

  • Trikes are checked over and test ridden to make sure they are mechanically sound.
  • Our mechanics adjust the trike for the x-seam measurement that you provide.
  • We install any accessories that can be safely shipped on the trike without being susceptible to damage. For example, we do not install fairings, due to the set length of the box, and we don't want the fairing getting scratched or damaged.
  • We pack the trike in a specially sized, heavy duty, large cardboard carton that is secured to a wooden pallet.
  • Trikes are typically ready to ride right out of the box and will require little to no adjustment or assembly, depending on what you ordered. Should the boom need adjusting for longer trikes or taller riders, please refer to our YouTube video on Adjusting the Boom on a Shipped Trike.

Boxing Your Trike

There is no audio, other than music, and the visuals in this video do not provide additional information than what is already described on the page.

Many people wonder how we ship trikes to consumers. Watch our timelapse video on YouTube showing just what you can expect on your doorstep when you receive the trike. The trike is fully assembled and adjusted to your x-seam measurement. Any accessories that can ship safely on the trike are installed prior to shipping. You may have to install certain accessories that cannot be safely installed like fairings for example.

Shipping Procedures

You will receive three emails from our shipping department. Details are below. For questions, please call us at 800-233-4340 or email our Shipping Department at Shipping@hostelshoppe.com.
