Powerful Electric Drive - Reliable and Quiet
At the heart of the drive is the proven Bosch Performance Line CX mid-motor with Smart System. With up to 85 Nm of torque, it provides powerful support when setting off, even on inclines or when fully loaded. You have a choice of four support levels - from Eco to Turbo. Thanks to the start-up assistance of up to 3.7 miles per hour, you can easily get going from a standstill, for example on hills or when rolling off in traffic. The assistance ends at 20 miles per hour - fully compliant with the law, as the BamBuk is a Class 1 e-assist. Effortless driving even with physical limitations or unequal power distribution between the two drivers.
Range You Can Rely On
One battery charge is often enough for everyday use - on longer tours you benefit from real endurance. The powerful battery is removable, secured with a lock and can be conveniently charged at any standard household socket. Range is about 43.5 miles. With the optional second battery, you can double the range to up to 86 miles - perfect for day trips, cycle tours or tours in hilly terrain. The advantage is that it is large in power, compact in transport - ideal for campers, motorhome travelers and urban households.
The Driving Comfort You Desire
The BamBuk offers a relaxed, upright sitting position for both riders - no hunched backs, no strained wrists. The ergonomically shaped seats with well ventilated backrests and the low entrance make it comfortable to sit on, even for older people or those with restricted mobility. The combination of two large 24-inch front wheels and a 26-inch rear wheel ensures smooth rolling and stability even on uneven paths. The full suspension - with leaf springs at the front and spring dampers at the rear - noticeably compensates for uneven ground. You also get a good view for both riders. Two seat positions of the rear seat are adjustable.
Security That Creates Trust
Especially when two people are travelling, safety is the be-all and end-all. The BamBuk is therefore equipped with high-quality hydraulic disc brakes at the front, which are triggered simultaneously via a single lever - for maximum braking power with minimum effort. The mechanical rear wheel brake with parking function secures the trike when dismounting or parking, even on sloping ground. Rear-view mirrors, an integrated indicator system and an optional lighting unit provide additional visibility. The freewheel mechanism can be adjusted individually: Either only one person actively pedals - or both pedal together.
Easy to Transport or Store
The operating dimensions of the trike are between 102 inches and 115 inches (depending on rider height) x 37 inches x 37 inches (LxWxH). Thanks to Bambik's patent-pending telescopic solution, the e-trike tandem can be pushed together to 78.7 inches. Transport dimensions of the tandem when pushed together: 78.7 x 37 x 37 inches (LxWxH). The rear seat is removable and the front seat folds down, but removal of the seats is not required. The front handlebars also fold down. This means it can be easily transported on a small trailer, specialty hitch rack or in a larger car or van with the rear seats folded down or removed. When you need to store it, it can be collapsed to take up a smaller footprint in your garage or storage area.
