The PERS Chainless e-assist system is a completely new and unique cycling experience. The system converts human power into electricity, enabling the rider to intuitively control speed and braking by pedaling. No chain, it's completely ride-by-wire. Riding an ICE PERS equipped ICE Trike, feels intuitive, natural and simply exhilarating. No gear shifting, reverse pedaling, clean and maintenance-free, regenerative braking, smooth quiet operation, connected and with anti-theft technology. The PERS Chainless system is a unique pedaling experience. At the front of the trike is a pedal generator that converts pedaling into electrical power. The generator sends this electrical power through wires to the powerful 250w hub motor mounted in the rear wheel. Delivering 75nm of torque. Power is stored in the 700wh battery that is located under the trike seat. The system has five different power modes: Muscular, Active, Balanced, Punch, or Dynamite. Giving you up to a 400% boost. You choose how much help and assistance the system gives you.Â
Pedal at your own rhythm, at any speed and on any slope. The PERS Chainless system offers natural pedaling resistance that adapts instantly to your riding style. Every pedal stroke generates energy. Simply choose your preferred rhythm and pedaling speed (cadence) and enjoy the ride. It adjusts to you in real time, automatically, without any gear shifting. You can even adjust the cadence while riding. To go faster, simply pedal faster, the system will adapt and match your preferred pedaling speed. Hills and descents are no problem, the system constantly adjusts to suit your ride.
The system captures energy when you brake and it's stored in the battery. Pedal backwards when you're riding to slow down and recharge the battery at the same time. Energy from braking as you ride flows back to the system, extending your range. This could extend your cycling range by up to 25%. Gently pedal backwards and the system starts to brake and in the process captures energy.Â
Many trike riders wish that they could pedal backwards for those times when you need to reverse. The system lets you do this with ease. Simply pedal backwards to smoothly reverse your trike. If you're taking a tight turn, or maneuvering back and forth, now it's incredibly easy by simply pedaling backwards from a stationary position. Â
