Batteries are dense and difficult to carry. This mount lets you attach your Electric Bike Outfitters, Shimano, Neodrives, or other brand battery to your ICE trike down low and out of the way. In fact, it lets you put the battery so out of the way that you can fold the trike with the battery attached! Mounting down low is important for handling and stability—you don't want something as heavy as a battery up high. This T-Cycle Battery Mount is made specifically for ICE Trikes with Rear Suspension that were manufactured post 6/2015. For ICE Trikes with Rear Suspension that were manufactured prior to 7/2015, the T-Cycle Battery Mount For ICE Suspended Trikes Pre 7/2015 should be purchased instead.
This T-Cycle Battery Mount For ICE Suspended Trikes Post 6/2015 comes with a shelf that is pre-drilled to accommodate many different types of battery mounting plates/rails (not included). The pre-drilled and tapped holes will fit Shimano, NeoDrive, BionX, and Ansmann battery plates/rails. In some cases spacers or stand-offs may also be needed for a correct fit (not included). If you will be using a Shimano STEPS battery, then purchase a T-Cycle Battery Mount STEPS Monorail (Rail Only) and a Shimano Steps E8016 Battery Controller w/o Key Cylinder Battery Cable 250mm.
Important Notes:
- This battery mount does not fit the ICE Full Fat models. Instead, for the Full Fat, ICE recommends using the T-Cycle Configurable Battery Mount with 1.75" Clamp and mounting the battery to the main tube below the seat.
- Depending on the type of battery and mounting plate/rail you are using, you may also need to purchase a T-Cycle Battery Mount Adapter Shelf, which has a larger assortment of mounting holes.
- There is also an ICE Battery Suspension Pivot Mount for Trike Without Rack, which positions the battery in a nose-down orientation. Fits post 6/2015 ICE Suspension Trikes only (without rack).
- If your post 6/2015 ICE Trike with Suspension has an ICE Suspension Rear Rack mounted on it, then order the ICE Battery Mount For Suspension Racks instead.
